About my work

I'm Kylie Strom, an occupational therapist who is passionate about helping people with dementia, disability and age-related challenges to live their best lives, right here in our community on the northern rivers.

With over 25 years' experience, I bring my professional expertise and a deep personal understanding to my work - as I shared my own dad's journey through younger onset dementia, supporting him and my mum every step of the way. Our family motto was "No Regrets", and I'm proud that we helped Dad maintain his independence and joy in everyday activities for as long as possible.

Me and dad. He was such a funny and cheerful guy. He still makes me smile.

My dad's experience changed my life and showed me just how important it is to support both people living with dementia and their Carers. That's why I now dedicate myself to helping local families navigate similar journeys, working closely with the Dementia Inclusive Ballina initiative to create a more understanding and supportive community.

Let me help your family

"My approach is always focused on what you can do, not what you can't. I believe everyone deserves the best quality of life, and I'll work alongside you to make that happen."

If you're looking for support with dementia care, disability or age-related challenges, or you need help with NDIS functional assessments, daily living activities or practical strategies for Carers, I'm here to help. I'd love to chat about how we can work together to improve your every day and maintain independence for anyone living with dementia, so feel free to contact me by phone or by email.
